I’ve Worked with John Walsh…Glad he has Closure

Published by gamecock46 at 3:35 am under Uncategorized Edit This

John Walsh with Driver Lance Hooper and the #89 Monte CarloI had the pleasure of working on a project with John Walsh back in 2002 when my NASCAR Busch series race car was used to try and help find a missing little girl. He is a real man to go this many years doing what he is doing. While filming America’s Most Wanted with him I could feel his passion for catching the Bad Guy. You get the gut feeling that he would tackle any bad guy who came along on his own if he had to.

My car raced at Dover with the little girls picture on it after doing a special AMW with John and our race car the Saturday before. He hoped that someone out there in NASCAR TV land would see her picture and maybe recognize her and send in a tip. Unfortunately she hasn’t been found to date as far as I know.  I remember doing an interview with him at Charlotte for an XM radio spot when he said that he knew who killed Adam in his heart and that the police had lost the evidence which prevented them from doing DNA matching that would have made sure he was right. Of course he was talking about Ottis Toole who has now been revealed as the real killer. I saw John on TV tonight and was glad for him and his family to finally be able to get some closure even though I know losing Adam will follow him to his grave and he will really never rest.

I hope everyone understands the value that John Walsh has brought to his role in helping America find missing children and also helping put bad guys away. It has been priceless. And the fight goes on.

God Bless you John.

Later,

Mark
